Nestled in the mountains above the road to Mismaloya and just minutes from downtown, Quinta Encantada is a secured, private complex with jaw-dropping views of Banderas Bay, the Sierra Madre Mountains and Puerto Vallarta’s Southside. Quinta Encantada is comprised of five luxury Villas under the same ownership, each with its own private entrance, unique style and panoramic view. Access to the beach is a short walk down the road, across the street to Calle Santa Barbara from which you can take the steps to Los Muertos beach or can continue on to Olas Altas and enter the beach adjacent to the newly-constructed pier. With over 20,000 sq. feet of living space, 12 air-conditioned bedrooms and three heated pools, Quinta Encantada’s five villas can be rented individually or together for larger groups and is the perfect entertaining and living space for vacations with family or friends, weddings, or corporate retreats.

Humberto, Quinta Encantada’s English-speaking house manager who lives on-site, will cater to your vacation needs (whether booking a tour, chartering a sailing or fishing excursion, making dinner reservations or arranging transportation). Maid service is provided daily (except Sundays and holidays). Chef services are available by request.

VILLA LEAH*: Villa Leah, Quinta Encantada’s 2-bedroom “penthouse,” enjoys 360 degree views that words cannot adequately describe. A covered deck that overlooks Quinta Encantada’s own “jungle” and popular Los Muertos Beach is a favorite spot to enjoy a meal or use the telescope to get a closer look at the action on the beach or the bay. Villa Leah’s front deck is perfect for lounging in the afternoon sun, watching whales playing in the bay, viewing the nightly fireworks or swimming in the heated pool that extends into the living and dining area. The covered rear deck is festooned with tropical plants and is the owners’ favorite spot to read while enjoying a cool breeze from the Sierra Madre Mountains. Villa Leah’s master bedroom has a king size bed, a dressing area and large master bath. The guest bedroom has a queen size bed and opens to a private outside terrace through large French doors. The living room has a sectional sofa, a separate sitting area with coffee table and chairs, a television cabinet and a wet bar. The walls of the dining area are adorned with Mexican art, while the dining table (seating 6) sits entirely under a glass skylight.

*Villa Leah is only available for groups that are renting all of Quinta Encantada’s villas.

VILLA EMILY: Each of Villa Emily’s 4 bedrooms has a private bathroom covered floor to ceiling in colorful Mexican tile. Three of the bedrooms have king size beds and the other a queen size bed. Villa Emily’s expansive living room has three separate sitting areas, a dining table (seating 8) and spectacular views of Banderas Bay and Puerto Vallarta’s Southside. A den that adjoins the master bedroom has a television and selection of paperbacks and opens to the heated pool it shares with Villa Samuel next door. The pool deck overlooks Banderas Bay and Quinta Encantada’s own “jungle” and is perfect for lounging in the mid-day sun or relaxing under the shade of the deck’s palapa.

VILLA GREGORY: Villa Gregory’s 2 bedrooms are on the top floor of this two-story villa. The larger of the two bedrooms has a spacious sitting area that overlooks the Bay and the private heated pool it shares with Villa Carter. Both bedrooms have a private bathroom covered floor-to-ceiling in colorful Mexican tile. Villa Gregory’s first floor has the kitchen with stool seating (for 4) at the kitchen counter, a walk-in pantry, a half-bathroom and a dining table (seating 8). The first floor living room area has a built-in couch with two loveseats and a second separate seating area overlooking the pool. The first floor also provides access to the pool deck where you can lounge in the afternoon sun or rest in the shade of the deck’s palapa.

VILLA CARTER: The 1-bedroom Villa Carter enjoys unobstructed views of the Bay and the city from the solitude of its private terrace. Inside, 8 foot sliding glass doors give an open-air feel and permit enjoyment of the city and bay views as you relax on the living room sofa, sit at the dining table or prepare a meal in the kitchen. A few steps outside the front door is the heated pool and deck it shares with Villa Gregory next door.

VILLA SAMUEL: Villa Samuel is Quinta Encantada’s two-story, 3-bedroom villa. Picture windows on both floors provide stunning views of the Bay looking south toward Los Arcos. Its master bedroom has a king size bed, a private bathroom and separate seating area. The other two bedrooms have king size beds and private bathrooms. Also on the second floor is an outside terrace with table and chairs that overlooks the pool it shares with Villa Emily. Villa Samuel’s expansive first floor has a  desk and a sectional sofa positioned to enjoy the views of Quinta Encantada’s own “jungle” and Banderas Bay. The first floor also has the kitchen with stool seating (for 4) at the kitchen counter and a dining table (seating 6).

    “Never wanted to leave!”

This was our 5th visit to Quinta Encantada and each time we stay there it only gets better. The location and views of the bay and mountains are exquisite from every vantage point in the villa. The staff is wonderful and promptly addresses every need. The villa is magnificently furnished and well appointed with all possible amenities. It is an easy walk or drive to the beach and the local restaurants are fabulous. Staying here is truly paradise and we cannot wait to return!

“Great accommodations, wonderful staff and spectacular views crea”

    Guest : W & B Enns

We recently returned from a two week stay at Villa Gregory and found it to be a wonderful experience. The villa itself is spacious and comfortable with many decorative touches that are a charmingly homey combination of Mexican traditiona/local folk/and street-vendor whimsical. And I'll admit, except for long, early morning walks, very commonly the tantalising combination of large outdoor patio with an abundance of well-tended, beautiful plants, our own heated pool, gentle ocean breezes and absolutely spectacular ocean/city views kept us at the villa, at least until the heat of the day eased. The walk down to the beach or shops only takes about 10 to 15 minutes but I should mention, it's not for someone who's unsturdy on their feet. We're all pretty fit, so we didn't find it a problem, but we generally took a cab back if we'd made any substantial purchases. Fortunately, cabs are abundant and cheap. I'd also like to mention that our stay was delightful for more than just physical accomodations..there is also the human factor. Humberto, the property manager, was friendly, responsive and accommodating. Anna, the maid, always a gentle smile on her face in passing, worked quietly in the background to keep things clean and comfy. And a special thanks to the owners, Barbara and Gerry, who were at Quinta Encantada at the time of our stay. While I know it was just a rental, their gracious and welcoming behaviour truly made us feel like more than just walking cheques. And I admit, it is those human touches that have firmly fixed Quinta Encantada in our minds as accommodation of choice for any future visits to Puerto Vallarta.

    “Absolutely incredible!”

We had an incredible relaxing honeymoon at Casa Samuel. The property is simply stunning -- photos really can't do it justice. It's like staying in a tree house above the ocean. With your own private pool! You really feel like you're living in the open air. My favorite part was waking every morning to take in the view of the ocean from bed (also, the sunsets were the most amazing I've ever seen in my life!) The house is a manageable 10-15 minute walk down the hill into town (and the beach) or a very easy cab ride down and back -- we were pleasantly surprised that cabs were literally everywhere, very cheap and friendly. Humberto and anna, the house staff, were beyond accommodating and made us feel right at home. We hope to return again and again!

“Beautiful Quiet Paradise Villa Overlooking a Bustling City Beach”

    Guest : TTT

From the incredible Quinta Encantada property, which makes you feel like you're in paradise, you look down onto Puerto Vallarta and its beaches and get a pulse of what the town has to offer. You could easily stay on the property the whole time, swimming, sunbathing and taking in its vast ocean views and gorgeous sunsets perfectly framed by the position of the house. Or you can head into town for food, bars, walks, music, shopping and people watching. You can also take a water taxi that's conveniently placed at the pier, and in 30 short minutes you are taken to some fantastic beaches away from the city beaches. We stayed at Villa Gregory but if we ever had the chance to host a large group outing with friends or family - we would definitely want to book up the entire place. It is magical and you can't beat the exhilarating feelings you get when you are on the property.

    “Best Vacation Ever!”

    Guest : Chris C

Best Vacation Ever! We stayed one week at the beautiful Quinta Encantada and cannot wait to return. Humberto was the most helpful, thoughtful guide you could ask for. He greeted us at the airport, took us to the market, and gave us great suggestions on restaurants. Anna was a dream; she kept the villa spotless and laundered out clothes daily. The estate is simply and elegantly decorated and the views are beautiful and breathtaking. We cannot wait to return!

    “Amazing all around!”

    Guest : Mary F

We just returned home from an extended vacation in Mexico. While in PV, we chose to stay at Casa Emily. It is a 3 bedroom villa/ condo that is part of Quinta Encantada. Quinta Encantada is a total of 5 villas all joined together. Each is amazingly beautiful! NOTE: The $2000/ per night is NOT per villa, maybe for all of Quinta Encantada?

Upon arrival, we were met by Humberto. He speaks perfect English and was very nice. He showed us all around our villa, then showed us the other villas that were open. Humberto stays on site and is full of helpful knowledge.

Casa Emily is massive, very very open with a huge balcony overlooking the bay. It is high on a hill in a very safe neighborhood. Our favorite part of staying here was sitting and listening to the ocean waves as a cool breeze blew through the home. You can see the entire bay!

There is a house keeper named Maria that keeps the home extremely clean and does all your laundry. (Put your clothes in the provided laundry baskets and she attends to them daily) She is absolutely wonderful!

The home comes with everything you could need. The kitchen is fully stocked. If there is anything you find you want, Humberto can help.

I found this home via a web search. I had never dealt with the owners previously. Barbara and Jerry are extremely nice, quick to answer questions and very professional in dealing with the home rental. We felt comfortable from day one working with them and would do so again any day!

    “Incredible Stay”

Let me start out by saying that our stay at Quinta Encantada was absolutely incredible. We were very fortunate to have stayed in the penthouse suite which was fantastic. It was right out of the series Life Styles of the Rich and Famous. The minute you walk into the unit you are in awe, especially when you see the pool jet into the living quarters. The villa is decorated very nicely and is immaculate. The view from the patio is fantastic and gives the impression that you are right on the ocean. Humberto and Ana are so nice, they make you feel like family. staying at the penthouse villa was a chance of a lifetime and we are still pinching ourselves to make sure we were really experiencing it. The other villas also looked incredible, each with their own spectacular view of the Bay of Banderas. Looking forward to a future stay, sometime in the future.

    “We're forever spoiled!”

My wife and I stayed in Carter for the month of February. We couldn't have asked for more. Incredible views, pool as warm as bathwater, convenient location, beautifully furnished. We have stayed in a number of places in PV in the past, but never anywhere close to the beauty and charm of Quinta Encantada.

Carter is the smallest of the units, but still quite large (1 bedroom, 2.5 baths) and airy, with wrap around windows and great ocean and sunset views. It's probably the most private of the units. It's about a 15 minute walk to the Romantic Zone, which we did every day. We often took a cab back for about $4 including tip when we were feeling lazy about the uphill walk back home. Being uphill has its advantages, though, with nice cool breezes as well as the great views. There is a full kitchen in each unit, which we used for making breakfast most mornings.

The on-site manager, Humberto, speaks English fluently and is very helpful and knowledgeable. Ana kept the unit clean every day, including doing our laundry. The owners, Barbara and Jerry, are there sometimes, and they are delightful, generous and interesting. We miss it already and will definitely return.
