This was our 5th visit to Quinta Encantada and each time we stay there it only gets better. The location and views of the bay and mountains are exquisite from every vantage point in the villa. The staff is wonderful and promptly addresses every need. The villa is magnificently furnished and well appointed with all possible amenities. It is an easy walk or drive to the beach and the local restaurants are fabulous. Staying here is truly paradise and we cannot wait to return!

We recently returned from a two week stay at Villa Gregory and found it to be a wonderful experience. The villa itself is spacious and comfortable with many decorative touches that are a charmingly homey combination of Mexican traditiona/local folk/and street-vendor whimsical. And I'll admit, except for long, early morning walks, very commonly the tantalising combination of large outdoor patio with an abundance of well-tended, beautiful plants, our own heated pool, gentle ocean breezes and absolutely spectacular ocean/city views kept us at the villa, at least until the heat of the day eased. The walk down to the beach or shops only takes about 10 to 15 minutes but I should mention, it's not for someone who's unsturdy on their feet. We're all pretty fit, so we didn't find it a problem, but we generally took a cab back if we'd made any substantial purchases. Fortunately, cabs are abundant and cheap. I'd also like to mention that our stay was delightful for more than just physical accomodations..there is also the human factor. Humberto, the property manager, was friendly, responsive and accommodating. Anna, the maid, always a gentle smile on her face in passing, worked quietly in the background to keep things clean and comfy. And a special thanks to the owners, Barbara and Gerry, who were at Quinta Encantada at the time of our stay. While I know it was just a rental, their gracious and welcoming behaviour truly made us feel like more than just walking cheques. And I admit, it is those human touches that have firmly fixed Quinta Encantada in our minds as accommodation of choice for any future visits to Puerto Vallarta.

We had an incredible relaxing honeymoon at Casa Samuel. The property is simply stunning -- photos really can't do it justice. It's like staying in a tree house above the ocean. With your own private pool! You really feel like you're living in the open air. My favorite part was waking every morning to take in the view of the ocean from bed (also, the sunsets were the most amazing I've ever seen in my life!) The house is a manageable 10-15 minute walk down the hill into town (and the beach) or a very easy cab ride down and back -- we were pleasantly surprised that cabs were literally everywhere, very cheap and friendly. Humberto and anna, the house staff, were beyond accommodating and made us feel right at home. We hope to return again and again!

From the incredible Quinta Encantada property, which makes you feel like you're in paradise, you look down onto Puerto Vallarta and its beaches and get a pulse of what the town has to offer. You could easily stay on the property the whole time, swimming, sunbathing and taking in its vast ocean views and gorgeous sunsets perfectly framed by the position of the house. Or you can head into town for food, bars, walks, music, shopping and people watching. You can also take a water taxi that's conveniently placed at the pier, and in 30 short minutes you are taken to some fantastic beaches away from the city beaches. We stayed at Villa Gregory but if we ever had the chance to host a large group outing with friends or family - we would definitely want to book up the entire place. It is magical and you can't beat the exhilarating feelings you get when you are on the property.

Best Vacation Ever! We stayed one week at the beautiful Quinta Encantada and cannot wait to return. Humberto was the most helpful, thoughtful guide you could ask for. He greeted us at the airport, took us to the market, and gave us great suggestions on restaurants. Anna was a dream; she kept the villa spotless and laundered out clothes daily. The estate is simply and elegantly decorated and the views are beautiful and breathtaking. We cannot wait to return!

“Amazing all around!”

We just returned home from an extended vacation in Mexico. While in PV, we chose to stay at Casa Emily. It is a 3 bedroom villa/ condo that is part of Quinta Encantada. Quinta Encantada is a total of 5 villas all joined together. Each is amazingly beautiful! NOTE: The $2000/ per night is NOT per villa, maybe for all of Quinta Encantada?

Upon arrival, we were met by Humberto. He speaks perfect English and was very nice. He showed us all around our villa, then showed us the other villas that were open. Humberto stays on site and is full of helpful knowledge.

Casa Emily is massive, very very open with a huge balcony overlooking the bay. It is high on a hill in a very safe neighborhood. Our favorite part of staying here was sitting and listening to the ocean waves as a cool breeze blew through the home. You can see the entire bay!

There is a house keeper named Maria that keeps the home extremely clean and does all your laundry. (Put your clothes in the provided laundry baskets and she attends to them daily) She is absolutely wonderful!

The home comes with everything you could need. The kitchen is fully stocked. If there is anything you find you want, Humberto can help.

I found this home via a web search. I had never dealt with the owners previously. Barbara and Jerry are extremely nice, quick to answer questions and very professional in dealing with the home rental. We felt comfortable from day one working with them and would do so again any day!

Let me start out by saying that our stay at Quinta Encantada was absolutely incredible. We were very fortunate to have stayed in the penthouse suite which was fantastic. It was right out of the series Life Styles of the Rich and Famous. The minute you walk into the unit you are in awe, especially when you see the pool jet into the living quarters. The villa is decorated very nicely and is immaculate. The view from the patio is fantastic and gives the impression that you are right on the ocean. Humberto and Ana are so nice, they make you feel like family. staying at the penthouse villa was a chance of a lifetime and we are still pinching ourselves to make sure we were really experiencing it. The other villas also looked incredible, each with their own spectacular view of the Bay of Banderas. Looking forward to a future stay, sometime in the future.

My wife and I stayed in Carter for the month of February. We couldn't have asked for more. Incredible views, pool as warm as bathwater, convenient location, beautifully furnished. We have stayed in a number of places in PV in the past, but never anywhere close to the beauty and charm of Quinta Encantada.

Carter is the smallest of the units, but still quite large (1 bedroom, 2.5 baths) and airy, with wrap around windows and great ocean and sunset views. It's probably the most private of the units. It's about a 15 minute walk to the Romantic Zone, which we did every day. We often took a cab back for about $4 including tip when we were feeling lazy about the uphill walk back home. Being uphill has its advantages, though, with nice cool breezes as well as the great views. There is a full kitchen in each unit, which we used for making breakfast most mornings.

The on-site manager, Humberto, speaks English fluently and is very helpful and knowledgeable. Ana kept the unit clean every day, including doing our laundry. The owners, Barbara and Jerry, are there sometimes, and they are delightful, generous and interesting. We miss it already and will definitely return.

WOW...Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous

Well where do I begin...We were very fortunate to have stayed in the penthouse and let me say that it was absolutely incredible and by far the best Villa we have ever stayed at. The views from the pool deck are without a doubt one of the best of the Bay of Banderas. It is absolutely fantastic how the private pool jets into the interior living area, truly one of a kind. The Villa is impeccably clean and furnished very professionally. Humberto who is the onsite manager goes out of his way to please, and Anna the housekeeper is so nice. They both make you feel like you are part of the family. The Villa is so open with glass doors and windows that allow for ocean breezes to flow through the living area. There is a flat screen TV in the family room with satellite TV, and to be honest we never watched any TV because we were so mesmerized by the spectacular views of the ocean and two other decks that open up to a lush garden area. The villa is located a short distance to Old Town Vallarta and a very reasonable taxi ride. Humberto arranged for taxi transportation on multiple occasions. The Villa is so beautiful you feel like you never want to leave. The penthouse is one of several other Villas which also appear to be quite nice, each having their own views of the bay. We truly look forward to a future stay at Quinta Encantada and the owners are very nice and professional. Adios ....will remember this trip for many years to come.

Paradise!

I recently returned from a fabulous four week stay in Casa Carter and have nothing but wonderful things to say about the experience. The unit itself is lovely - large, open and furnished with both comfort and aesthetics in mind. It takes awhile to even focus on the interesting decor however, because of the spectacular views from almost every corner of the unit. It is truly breathtaking. The ocean and all of its magic - boats, whales, dolphins - is the first thing you will see in the morning and the last thing you will see at night. There is a large deck - the perfect place to wind down and enjoy Puerto Vallarta's amazing sunsets. You can also see the downtown and enjoy the nightly 10pm fireworks that are short but colorful, and usually seen between 9:45 and 10:15. Casa Carter shares a lovely warm pool with Casa Gregory and it a delight to float in the perfect water and look at the ocean below. The only problem with all of this? It can be really hard to motivate yourself to leave the extreme comfort to go into town and enjoy all that Puerto Vallarta has to offer. However, when you do, the Romantic Zone with its many shops and restaurants is an easy walk - mostly downhill. Some people will opt for a cab for the uphill return and cabs are very inexpensive. The site manager, Humberto, does a wonderful job of keeping the property ship shape and helping out in any way he can. He met us at the airport, took us grocery shopping and was there for absolutely anything we needed. He is an exceptional person and will do everything in his power to assure you enjoy your stay. Anna the housekeeper does an excellent job, cleaning six days a week and even doing your laundry! And they do all this with such warmth and kindness. We were also fortunate enough to be there when the owners, Jerry and Barbara were in residence. They are very gracious hosts and do everything they can to assure you that you enjoy every moment of your vacation. I highly recommend any of the beautiful properties in Quinta Encantada and am already planning my next visit. It truly is a paradise!

My husband and I had an incredible experience at the Quinta Encantada. The villa, Casa Carter where we stayed was very private, decorated in traditional Mexican decor and had an incredible panoramic view of the ocean and all of Puerto Vallarta. We were very impressed on how spacious the villa was for being a one bedroom. The amenities were amazing; there was a terrace where we enjoyed the beautiful view of the sunset. Ana the maid discretely did our laundry and cleaned our room. Humberto the property manager accommodates your every need. The first day we got there, we already knew that we would return. The bed in Casa Carter was so comfortable that it inspired us to buy a similar bed upon our return home. It was definitely the best sleep ever! Quinta Encantada was quiet and relaxing and minutes from the beach and downtown Puerto Vallarta. I highly recommend staying here as I can’t wait to return!

This place is Great, full view from North to South, spectacular patio with private pool, full living room and dining room. The master has its own sitting area (large) with great views out the windows. Full staff including Humberto who can make whatever you need to happen, happen. Taxi, dinner reservations etc. First time P.V. visitors be aware of the road noise but that is not unusual for Mexico. Recommend Vallarta Eats for a fun dining experience, walking tour to four restaurants with food and drink included. Linda Mar for sunset margarita's. I would go there again.

Incredibly beautiful villa in a small complex with a few other units (managed by the same owner) -- we were the only ones in the complex during our stay, and were welcome to use some of the amenities of the other units. The villa is quiet, spacious and well-appointed, with stunning views of the bay and the city. It is located up a fairly steep hill, but it's a quick walk to town (15 minutes) through quiet streets and a cab ride back up is less than $5USD.

The owners are very responsive via email, and Humberto the on-site manager was a great resource (picked up some stuff for us from Costco, gave us rides to town/to the airport). Overall an excellent experience, would certainly recommend.

We recently had our second experience staying in Villa Gregory, and I must say, this visit was even better than our first. The spacious and charming accommodations were even more of delight for their comfortable familiarity. From the time the friendly Humberto picked us up at the airport, to the time we settled in pool-side with cold drinks to enjoy the warm breezes on our stunning, picturesque patio, it felt like coming home. The ocean views are glorious and I admit, we enjoyed many a lazy hour gazing out on the peaceful, every-changing ocean. As a matter of fact, in the master bedroom of Villa Gregory, the first thing you see when you wake up is that beautiful view.
Once again I have to commend both Humberto, the property manager, and Anna, the maid for the great service they provide. Humberto is helpful, informative and is the one to see if you need anything - from a ride to go shopping to information on the where and why of things around PV. Anna is warm, friendly, and she keeps everything spic and span.
In our opinion, Villa Gregory and all the other Villas making up Quinta Encantada are great choices if you are looking for top-notch, spacious, authentic Mexican accommodations and they will continue to be our top choice in Puerto Vallarta.
This will continue to be our first choice when it comes to

We stayed just after New Year for 8 days. We were kindly upgraded from the smaller apartment below as Gregory happened to be empty. A very kind gesture. The villa is gorgeous - and unlike so many condos and villas it has real charm and character. It's a lovely piece of architecture with every window and terrace seemingly places for the best views or for your comfort. The pool area is just stunning and a wonderful place to hang out. It's a little noisy - but that's Mexico I guess. The villa is on the top of a very steep hill. At first we thought we'd walk down to the beach etc, but in fact taxis are east, plentiful and as cheap as chips. Humberto the concierge will never fail to get you a taxi in a couple of minutes - by far the best way to travel up and down to PV. The villa benefits from being on easily the nicest part of town; the area of the old town that the taxi drops you into has many of the best restaurants, bars and shops in town. We discovered some fantastic places in and around the Olas atlas area. There are also a couple of good supermarkets there. The Saturday farmers market is a must - go! Buy some gorgeous food and bring it back to the villa. We has some magical evenings just cooking for ourselves and looking at the view. Back to the villa! It's huge, the views are breathtaking, it's very comfortably furnished (not designey, more like someone's home - which we enjoyed as it put us at our ease). Humberto is brilliant at arranging anything that you need (when we arrived the wireless internet wouldnt work with our Macs - he went to enormous trouble to sort it out, brought in the experts etc and had it sorted in no time). and he's just a charming cheerful guy to chat to about PV. Anna bustles around always fixing or cleaning and she'll do laundry ! We loved our stay here. We have only one tiny criticism, which is that you can't lock your villa doors - this allows staff to move around the complex - but it made us a bit uneasy. Loved it 🙂

We just returned from our stay at Casa Carter in Puerto Vallarta and can only say that it is the perfect couple's romantic get-away! The wrap around deck has gorgeous views of the bay and downtown PV. Although it is just one bedroom, it is spacious with an all open floor plan of the living, dining and kitchen areas that also afford beautiful scenic vistas of the area. All amenities are provided and the decor is wonderful - authentically Mexican and tastefully done. If you don't feel like going to the beach, just go up one level to the beautiful tiled pool and patio. The staff sees to every need - Ana sees to all housekeeping and laundry, while manager Humberto is available as a "concierge" - making restaurant reservations, calling for taxis, etc. If you're lucky, the owners (Barbara and Jerry Mason) may be on site - and really make you feel so at home. It's close enough to take a short walk to the beach and town - and the town is teeming with wonderful restaurants. We hated to leave and will be sure to stay at Casa Carter our next trip to PV!

The house is palatial -- set apart from the rest of the villas in the compound, which makes for a more private experience. And the photos can't even do justice to the breathtaking views. My wife and I spent hours lounging poolside and gazing out at the Pacific. When we wanted a change of scenery, it was a short walk to the beach and/or town. This was a beautiful place that my boyfriend and I stayed, right around Quinta Encantada in Puerto Vallarta. We stayed in the Carter and the condo was absolutely gorgeous! Very spacious and quiet, and you could see the banana and coconut trees right from your window. The balcony had an amazing view, and was a good spot for laying out. Everyone was very friendly, and they washed and folded your laundry everyday! It's on a hill so I wouldn't suggest bringing any heels to wear, but no need to bring a bunch of cute dresses because there are so many cute clothes and dresses you could buy for so cheap! The locals were also very friendly and the food was absolutely amazing. I would definitely want to make this our annual vacation spot for sure.

5 Stars all around for this gorgeous property! Casa Gregory is beautifully situated in the hills of Conchas Chinas. The views of the ocean and town are breath-taking and the sunsets are spectacular. We watched whales from our patio! It is a short walk into the Old Town, approx 10-15 mins and a short taxi ride up the hill to 'home'. Taxis are plentiful and the ride from town to the casa 50 pesos.
Humberto, the property manager, will do anything for you. He is a great resource. Anna, the housekeeper, will clean as much or as little as you want. She'll even do your laundry. Barbara and Robert, the owners, couln't have been nicer or more accomadating. Humberto, Anna, Barbara and Robert all helped make our stay perfect. I highly recommend this rental.

This was the second year in a row that we were able to enjoy this lovely house during our 2 week stay in Puerto Vallarta. This year we rented Casa Emily, while last year we rented Emily, Samuel and Gregory. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stays at this property. The unobstructed views from the house of the Bay and surrounding hills are breathtaking and never fail to deliver “oohs and ahhs” each day as we wake to start the day (the night views are amazing as well). Humberto, the house manager, has proven to be a trusted and dependable source for all of our needs and has become a part of our family. The staff keeps the house clean and comfortable at all times, washing and folding our laundry being one of the great perks! At our request, Humberto secured a cook for our breakfast and dinners for our entire 2 weeks and the food was amazing, local flavors and authentic Mexican fare was prepared, as well as any request we made.

We will be back and staying at the Quinta Encantada properties next year, no doubt! We have been traveling to PV for close to 20 years and this house, and the wonderful staff, rate among the best places of all. The location which is just a short walk to the beach can’t be beat!!

And I admit, it is those human touches that have firmly fixed Quinta Encantada in our minds as accommodation of choice for any future visits to Puerto Vallarta.

I have been coming to PV for over 15 years and have sayed in hotels, apartments and villas--Casa Emily was by far my favorite. From the moment I inquired about the place to and through our stay, we could not have asked for anything better. Barbara, the owner was responsive and answered all of my questions before and after we booked. Humberto, the House Manager was amazing. He picked us up from the airport, took us grocery shopping, arranged a chef to come to the house to make dinner for us. BEST SERVICE! The place was in the perfect location in lower Conchas Chinas, very walkable to town and the beach. The walk back was a little up hill but not bad at all (a $5 taxi back was nice too). And the best part of it all, was that the place was absolutely beautiful. It was huge! The pictures do not show how big the place is. The bedrooms are very big, all with its own bathroom. A big kitchen. Two living rooms. A great view and an amazing pool. You do share the pool with one other villa--but we were lucky that they other villa was not booked at the same time. If you have a very large group, I would consider renting the whole place (Quinta Encantada). The decor was very authentic and nice. I highly recommend this place. We will definitely book this place again!

I only wish I could live here. It was difficult leaving such a beautiful place. I especially enjoyed the open, airy environment. The views are indescribable. The photo's just don't do it justice. I would highly recommend to come and experience this paradise for your yourself.

There aren't enough positive adjectives to describe Casa Gregory and the entire villa compound of Quinta Encantada! The property manager, Humberto, is SO friendly and accommodating. He helped me achieve the perfect birthday vacation. The casa is beautifully maintained, the decor is fun, comfortable Mexican Colonial, and the sun sets at the exact center of the view from the terrace. Five minute cab ride to the beach and the town center. It is magical! I hope to be able to go back every year!

I stayed in Casa Emily of Quinta Encantada with another guest for a week in mid-April. From the moment Roberto opened the door for us, we were transported to paradise. There were a total of 6 women, sharing Quinta Encantada and celebrating a 60th birthday. We had 2 guests in Gregory, 2 in Emily and 2 in Samuel. We had to play Marco Polo to find each other! We used the kitchen and terrace in Emily as our meeting place and wondered, "When will we ever stop staring at this view?" It's mesmerizing. We didn't leave the house for the first 3 days because everything is so perfect. Every evening we watched the sunset before Veronica and Roberto served us a delicious dinner.

The staff is superb. I cannot say enough about their helpfulness and accomodating attitudes. Anna is "invisible". When she is there to clean, you rarely see her, but at the end of the day, any laundry you put in the basket is clean and folded neatly on your bed.

The house is nothing less than gorgeous. The owners have decorated it with love and attention to detail. I believe you could stay there a year and never see every treasure in each nook and special place. The blue tile pool and bathroom in Casa Emily is stunning. There was a lovely breeze in Casa Emily all day; no need to use the air conditioner.

Whenever I need to go to my "happy place", I will be at Quinta Encantada!

My mother and I spent two weeks in Casa Samuel this past January and never plan to go back to a resort. Perfectly located not far from Puerto, its amazing views are like a dream you get to wake up to. Friendly staff and beautiful accommodations make this an excellent getaway for a relaxing quiet vacation.

Words cannot adequately describe the beauty of Casa Emily - both inside the house and the views. Waking up each morning to see the whales in the bay and the breeze coming in off the ocean washes away every care in the world. The property is wonderfully secluded while being just minutes from the hustle and bustle of the Romantic Zone by foot or by taxi.

From start to finish, the owners are friendly and helpful, and the on-site property manager is charming and attentive. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Spacious and beautifully appointed accommodations. Wonderful open living and dining areas with magnificent views of the bay, beach, and downtown area. Bedrooms and bathrooms are roomy, comfortable and decorated with lovely Mexican artwork and flavor. Staff is courteous and most accommodating at all times. Short walk or drive to the beach, but being able to take a dip in Emily's pool is a great amenity when you return from town or the beach. Recommend for a family or several couples.

Casa Gregory was even grander than we expected. In fact, all of the "Casas" at Quinta Encantada are beautiful. It was well furnished, clean, with fabulous views. Humberto, the on-site manager, couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Anna did housekeeping every day and even did our laundry. Be warned that it is located high up on a hill (hence the great views) so the walk back up can be a bit steep, but we did it almost every day. We took a cab (50-60 pesos from downtown) when we were feeling lazy. It was good exercise, and only a 10 minute walk or so to Los Muertos beach. The pool was lovely and kept wonderfully warm. The sunsets were gorgeous. We stayed 2 weeks and hated to leave.

For a romantic getaway this is the perfect place! The view is out of a movie. The staff was amazing, very professional. We plan on staying in Casa Samuel next year (I honestly don't know how it can top this)!

This is the second time my husband and I have been to Quinta Encantada and we love it!!! Last year we stayed in Casa Carter and decided to try a different condo. Just one word extraordinary! I don't think we could choose which one was better. The one plus I will say about Casa Samuel is the private entrance on the side. Casa Carter felt a bit more secluded (which for us a big plus). Casa Samuel does have the most amazing rooftop, great for sunbathing. We love them both!

For Halloween and several other times during 2011, I had the pleasure of staying at Casa Gregory. From the minute we arrived each time, we knew that we were in paradise.
Not only is the property beautiful in every respect, the staff was the most accommodating I have ever experienced in all of my travels. Typically when we visit Puerto Vallarta (usually 4-5 times per year), we go out to dinner every night and spend most of the day running around different parts of the City. Since discovering this amazing place, we rarely go out, since it is so beautiful at Casa Gregory, It is much more fun and enjoyable to entertain our friends at the condo, having barbecues, enjoying the private pool and of course the amazing sunsets and fireworks, I also had the amazing experience of meeting the property owners, Jerry and Barbara, who were both delightful. When americans like these two wonderful people buy property in Puerto Vallarta, Puerto Vallarta becomes an even better place for everyone.

I want to personally thank Humberto, the manager for being so instrumental to the pleasure we experieinced during each visit. He met us at the entrance when we
arrived and made himself available during the entire stay to ensure we were happy and had everything we needed. I left feeling as though I had made a new friend.

Whenever we plan a trip to Puerto Vallarta, we would never consider staying any place else... Why would we; everything we need is at Casa Gregory. I feel as though I have Finally found a place where I can truly relax and also have an exciting and fun time in surroundings that typify elegant beauty.

This is our 4th stay at this fabulous villa. The accommodations are exquisite decorated - elegant, yet comfortable with breathtaking views from every vista as well as every amenity. The location is perfect - secluded and set up on the mountainside, but a short walk to the beach and close to town for excellent dining and shopping. Beautiful sunsets with a panoramic view of the bay and mountains from the terraces. It doesn't get any better than this. We can't wait to go back!!!
